The National Shipbuilding Program reached another milestone recently with the keel laying for the third Offshore Patrol Vessel, NUSHIP Pilbara, taking place at Henderson, Western Australia.

Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Tim Barrett joined two apprentices to lay the keel for the Royal Australian Navy’s third destroyer, NUSHIP Sydney, on 19 November at ASC shipyards in Adelaide.
This week another milestone was reached for the Air Warfare Destroyer project when the keel of the Royal Australian Navy’s second destroyer, NUSHIP Brisbane was laid in Adelaide.
