The Royal Australian Navy Anzac class Frigate HMAS Toowoomba has conducted a port visit to Phuket, Thailand. During the visit a soccer team from the ship played a friendly match with a team from the Thai Navy.

Able Seaman Communications and Information Systems Nikolai Gunn-Brockhoff enjoys a cuddle with 11 month old son Leon after HMAS Toowoomba returned home to Fleet Base West after a long and busy seven month deployment.

HMAS Toowoomba has returned to its homeport of Fleet Base West, Rockingham, Western Australia, after the ship’s longest deployment to date, successfully contributing to seven Task Groups in seven months.

Leading Seaman Marine Technician (MT) Ross Kennedy, Able Seaman (AB) MT Bradley Chambers, ABMT Corey Bunyan, ABMT Cade Wilks and Seaman MT Ashleigh Pennie repaired the damaged engine over the course of four days whilst HMAS Toowoomba participated in Indo Pacific Endeavour 2018.

Marine technicians and support staff posted to HMAS Toowoomba have rallied together to conduct a complex repair while the ship was overseas on deployment.

Volunteers from HMAS Adelaide and HMAS Toowoomba assist Royal Solomon Islands Police Force personnel with the maintenance of the Seif Ples shelter for abused families during the port visit to Honiara in the Solomon Islands as a part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2018.

The Australian Defence Force has completed its final two port visits as part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2018, marking the conclusion of a three month journey across the Pacific, working with Pacific Island partners in support of regional prosperity and security.

HMAS Toowoomba was temporarily diverted from large-scale war games last weekend to assist in a real emergency off the coast of Hawaii.
