The Navy's ambassador for the Australian Defence Force Blood Challenge 2013, Petty Officer Boatswains Mate Cartrena Skinner of NUSHIP Canberra, at Fleet Base East in Sydney.

Navy is aiming to achieve 2000 donations in the annual Defence Blood Challenge this year which kicked off on 1 September and finishes on 30 November.

Deputy Director Navy Asset Accounting, Peter Stephenson, is doing his part for the annual Defence Blood Challenge by donating plasma every two weeks between September 1 and November 30.

This week marks the beginning of the annual Defence Blood Challenge, running for three months from 1 September until 30 November around Australia.

Diets and healthy-eating resolutions were momentarily forgotten at Anglesea Barracks in Tasmania on Friday as personnel from all three services and the Barrack’s support staff enjoyed a decadent morning tea - for a great cause.

Vice Chief of the Defence Force, Air Marshal Mark Binskin, joined Australian Red Cross Blood Service CEO Jennifer Williams today to launch Australia’s largest blood donation event at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service Donation Centre in Canberra.
