The Australian Defence Force has assisted the Australian Maritime Safety Authority with a medical evacuation off the coast of Western Australia.

A Navy ship has received a ‘Silver Award’ from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards held at Government House in Perth - acknowledging the important contribution provided to the community.

Navy teamwork was on show recently as members of Clearance Diving Team Four came to the aid of their submariner colleagues to carry out a vital piece of maintenance on HMAS Farncomb.

The sport of soccer is currently undergoing a resurgence at Fleet Base West, in Rockingham, after a busy 18 month period that has seen the team based at HMAS Stirling creating a strong impression in the local competition as well as against visiting ship’s teams.
