Able Seaman Communication and Information Systems Jasmine Smale folds the Australian White Ensign on the flight deck of HMAS Parramatta during a ceremonial sunset to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the sinking of HMAS Parramatta II at Fleet Base East, Sydney.

A service was held in Parramatta on 27 November to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the loss of the Grimsby-class sloop HMAS Parramatta II.

Lieutenant Joel Marrison leads the Ceremonial Guard in a Ceremonial Sunset on the flight deck of HMAS Parramatta for more than 90 guests, including the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, The Hon Gordon Darcy Lilo and His Excellency, High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, Mr Andrew Byrne, while HMAS Parramatta is berthed alongside Honiara, Solomon Islands, during Operation SOLANIA.

In support of Operation SOLANIA, HMAS Parramatta conducted a port visit to Honiara, Solomon Islands from 11-14 July, to assist in maritime surveillance of the South Pacific Region as coordinated through the Pacific Island Forum Agency.

Friday 11 July saw Commander Simon Cannell hand over command of the Anzac Class Frigate HMAS Parramatta to Commander Andrew Willis amongst a South Pacific setting.

HMAS Parramatta recently conducted a port visit to Port Vila, Vanuatu in support of Operation SOLANIA, which aims to assist South Pacific Islands in protecting their own fisheries and natural resources to foster economic development and stability in the South Pacific region.

The forecastle party on HMAS Parramatta prepare the ship for berthing in Noumea, New Caledonia during a port visit as part of Operation Solania.

HMAS Parramatta conducted a port visit to Noumea, New Caledonia as part of Operation SOLANIA which supports the policing of the Economic Exclusion Zones of Pacific Island countries. While in New Caledonia, Parramatta conducted exercises with French Navy Ship (FNS) Vendémaire, and other units based New Caledonia.
