A helicopter crew from 816 Squadron was able to play ‘Good Samaritan’ by providing in-flight assistance to a light aircraft that had reported an unsafe gear indication over Merimbula, on the NSW South Coast.

When a Seahawk helicopter and its team of aircrew and maintainers from 816 Squadron joined the upgraded Anzac class frigate HMAS Perth for training at sea, it was a perfect marriage of traditions, mascots and mottos.

Motor sport aficionados are used to seeing fast cars and even faster aircraft at the SKYCITY Triple Crown V8 Supercars event in Darwin, but this year, one of the Navy's Seahawk helicopters has taken centre stage at the premier motor sport event.
