The crew of HMAS Adelaide did not let the fact they were at sea stop them from taking part in Sydney’s City2Surf, setting up their own version of the famous fun run onboard.

HMAS Adelaide arrives in Sydney Harbour with members of the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance that joined the crew for the transit from Adelaide to Sydney.

Thirty four members of the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) project were given the opportunity to go to sea on HMAS Adelaide last month. The group, made up of 26 personnel from Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group and three industry participants, sailed from Adelaide to Sydney in conjunction with Adelaide's family cruise.

Dress rehearsals have started for the commissioning of NUSHIP Adelaide this Friday, as the second Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) prepares to enter service with the Royal Australian Navy.
