Preparations are well underway for the 2014 Australian Defence Football Federation National Futsal Carnival to be held at University of Sydney on Saturday 1 March.

This weekend the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League (Navy ASRL) will culminate in an action packed weekend at the 2014 Navy Australian Open, to be held at Stockton, Newcastle.

In the first week of December a team from the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) attended the fourth annual Admiral's Cup Regatta at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

In an historically significant moment, a Royal Australian Navy ship has visited Bangladesh. HMAS Childers, an Armidale class Patrol Boat, pulled alongside the Port of Chittagong to the welcoming sound of the Bangladesh Navy Band and as soon as the gangway was across, local school children presented the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander Christopher Brough, RAN with fresh flowers.

MRH-90 Taipan Helicopter crews will soon be able to operate with increased safety in dusty conditions, thanks to an extensive test program that was conducted at the Mount Stuart Training Area to determine how to best overcome the dangers associated with ‘brownouts’.
