Navy’s newest junior officers have graduated from the Royal Australian Naval College at HMAS Creswell as part of New Entry Officers’ Course 61, rounding off a busy year with a record 297 new officers graduating in 2019.

On Friday 25 October, Basic Clearance Diving Course 86 graduated at the Australian Defence Force Diving School, after an intensive 12 months of training at HMAS Cerberus, HMAS Penguin, Pittwater Training area, Marrangaroo Training area, Singleton Range and the Shoalwater Bay Training area.

Friday 14 November 2019 marked a special day for the 150 students of the Indonesian Navy’s Command and Staff Course, and in particular it marked the end of a two-year journey for Lieutenant Commander Ian Jackson, the Australian student on the course.
Be bold, set your course and don’t be afraid to commit - that was the message to the graduation class of Westminster School from the Navy Headquarters Chief of Staff at their graduation ceremony on 21 November.

Set within Navy’s 723 Squadron at HMAS Albatross, the Joint Helicopter School was designed to provide the foundation skills needed by future pilots, aircrew and Aviation Warfare Officers to operate the highly sophisticated combat helicopters used by the Royal Australian Navy and Australian Army.
