The Royal Australian Naval College at HMAS Creswell has graduated the largest officer cohort in its 107-year history, with 168 members of New Entry Officers' Course (NEOC) 62 completing their initial training.

March 5, 2020 was a significant date in the Royal Australian Navy’s calendar as it heralded the official launch of the Navy’s Maritime Human Resource Officer category, designed to bridge the gaps identified by the Personnel Efficiency Review, enabling Navy to better manage its people.
Members of Navy’s Maritime Geospatial Warfare Unit deployed to Davis research station in Antarctica recently, where they completed mandated field survival training and small boats induction, prior to commencing survey tasks in support of Operation SOUTHERN DISCOVERY.

The Head of the Maritime Logistics Community, Commodore Simon Ottaviano conducted a handover of the Maritime Logistics Personnel Operations Sailor workgroup to Head of Maritime Personnel Community, Commodore Anthony Klenthis.
In February, three Australian Defence Force Officers ventured into the High Arctic region, where they were taught how to survive extreme cold conditions as part of an experiential learning program run by the Canadian Armed Forces Arctic Training Centre.
