STS Young Endeavour Youth Crew Member Jessica Lowth receives her Certificate of Completion from Lieutenant Adam Farley RAN, Commanding Officer STS Young Endeavour.

A recent graduate of the Defence Indigenous Development Program and a Navy Cadet from Esperance in Western Australia were amongst the excited young crew who embarked on an 11 day adventure at sea when Sail Training Ship Young Endeavour departed Cairns on 25 July.

Twenty four youths from around Australia joined the national Sail Training Ship Young Endeavour at Cairns.

The 12,000th young Australian to set sail in STS Young Endeavour completed the Young Endeavour Youth Development Program over the weekend, after an eleven day voyage along the Queensland coast.

The ballot is now open for young Australians aged 16-23 to set sail for the voyage of a lifetime aboard the national Sail Training Ship Young Endeavour in 2014.

Eight Sydney-bound tall ships, including our own Young Endeavour, docked in Hobart on Friday for the five-day Tall Ships Hobart 2013 Festival.
