Last week the Adelaide Class Guided Missile Frigate (FFG) Team Trainer maintainers from the Systems Training School (HMAS Watson) scheduled some time out to make a much needed donation to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, assisting in the provision of blood and blood products to those in need Australia-wide.

Several members of the section have been long time donators and strongly encouraged new joiners of the FFG team to get onboard and support this important service as regularly as possible, knowing that each donation helps to save the lives of three people.

“Nothing is more welcoming to section newcomers than a good session of blood-letting,” LSET Burgess said.

The department is helping to spread the message of support for the Red Cross ahead of the ADF Blood Drive week.
