RAN Medical Officer LEUT Jonathon Stacey has packed a lot of variety into his six-year Naval career - he’s been deployed on patrol boats, amphibious landing ships, minehunters and frigates, taking him to ports including Japan, Korea, Indonesia and Guam.
Twenty-one Indigenous recruits consisting of 12 females and 9 males, ranging in age from 18 to 30, enlisted into the Royal Australian Navy on 13 February, as part of the Navy Indigenous Development Program.
The start of 2020 has been a little different for one of HMAS Dechaineux’s Lieutenant Jedd Goggin, representing his two Surf Life Saving Clubs at the annual Surf Life Saving Australia National Leadership College, recently held in Sydney.

A funeral with full military honours was held for Vice Admiral David Willoughby Leach AC, CBE, LVO, RAN (Ret’d), who served as Chief of Naval Staff from 1982 to 1985, on 31 January 2020 at the Garden Island Chapel.
