A HMAS Success Boarding Party returns to the ship after conducting a search on a Dhow in the Middle East Region as part of Operation MANITOU.

HMAS Success has displayed the ongoing co-operation necessary amongst the nations of the Combined Maritime Forces, conducting a boarding operation in the Middle East Region with the help Arleigh-Burke class destroyer USS Dewey.

Family and friends line the wharf at Fleet Base West to farewell HMAS Toowoomba for an Operation MANITOU deployment to the Middle East Region.

Friends and family lined the wharf as HMAS Toowoomba departed Fleet Base West for their Operation MANITOU deployment over the weekend. The 191-strong ship’s company enjoyed their last few hours on Australian soil with their loved ones before the ship’s horn sounded and the order was given to ‘man ship’.

HMAS Darwin has completed a highly successful maritime security deployment to the Middle East and is now heading home to Sydney after being deployed under tasking to the US-led Combined Maritime Forces and Combined Task Force 150.

HMAS Darwin’s contribution to operations in the Middle East was formally recognised during a visit to the ship on 2 July by Commodore Jeremy Blunden Royal Navy, Commander of Combined Task Force 150.
