A very busy period for the Sea Training Unit - Minor War Vessels in Darwin concluded this month with the presentation of an award to one of their own, who was named Instructor of the Year.

HMAS Warramunga's Ridged Hull Inflatable Boat coxswained by Chief Petty Officer Electronics Technician Kerry Douven, is lowered into the water in a man overboard exercise conducted for Warramunga's Family Day.

Approximately 250 family and friends of HMAS Warramunga's crew recently joined them onboard for a half day ‘at sea experience’ in Cockburn Sound, WA.

HMAS Ballarat leaves stern first from Fleet Base East, Sydney, for a three month deployment to South East Asia.

Without fanfare, HMAS Ballarat departed Fleet Base East early on 5 August 2013 to conduct some additional warfare training before commencing a three month South East Asian and Operation RESOLUTE deployment, following almost a month of intense Unit Readiness Workups.
