Hundreds of family and friends gathered to watch as 63 of Navy’s newest sailors graduated from the RAN Recruit School, closing the chapter on the first stage of their training and advancing toward their careers within Navy.
More than 500 sailors, soldiers, airmen and airwomen of HMAS Cerberus formed up on the Main Parade Ground for inspection by Commanding Officer, Captain Katherine Richards, RAN. In doing so, they carried out a time honoured tradition of showing pride in themselves and their service through their dress and bearing.
The last Getting Division, GE313, will march into Royal Australian Navy history on 26 July 2013, as they proudly graduate from the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School at HMAS Cerberus.
West Head Gunnery Range (WHGR), an outstation of HMAS Cerberus located in Flinders, Victoria, welcomed residents of the Flinders community to tour their training facilities and witness a firing exercise by the Principle Warfare Officers Course 50 (PWO 50).
In support of the Reserve Forces Day March on Sunday 7 July 2013, HMAS Cerberus provided a Tri-Service Colour Party and Unarmed Contingent.

Seventy seven recruits from Rankin Division, General Entry intake 312 (GE 312), made Australian Naval history on 28 June 2013, when they marched onto the RAN Recruit School Parade Ground. Their Graduation Parade will be remembered as the last Rankin Division to graduate from the RAN Recruit School at HMAS Cerberus.
