Moran Division will be written into the history books on 28 November 2013 when the final class of Moran recruits graduate from the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School at HMAS Cerberus.

A new medical simulation centre to benefit medical training for LHD conditions was recently opened at the Royal Australian Navy Medical School at HMAS Penguin by the Director General Health Capability and Director General Navy Health Service, Commodore Elizabeth Rushbrook.

A very busy period for the Sea Training Unit - Minor War Vessels in Darwin concluded this month with the presentation of an award to one of their own, who was named Instructor of the Year.

Family members of Noel Shipp, the namesake of the newest Division at Recruit School in HMAS Cerberus, were guests of honour at the first graduation on 30 August 2013.

An ESSM is fired from HMAS Perth at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii as part of the final Operational Acceptance Trial for the Australian designed Phased Array Radar and Combat Management System upgrades to the Anzac Class Frigate ASMD system.

The Royal Australian Navy and the Defence Materiel Organisation have recently completed the final Operational Acceptance Trial for the Australian-designed Phased Array Radar and Combat Management System upgrades to the Anzac Class frigate Anti-Ship Missile Defence system.
