Exercise SEA LION Block II Amphibious Training will soon come to a close, with the exercise being hailed a success and a significant stepping stone in the development of Australia’s amphibious capability.

Running across various centres in Northern Queensland from 10 to 28 June, SEA LION Block II was designed to practice the conduct of complex military operations from a platform based off shore and involved HMAS Choules, three Landing Craft Heavy HMA Ships Brunei, Tarakan and Labuan, and elements of the Army’s 3rd, 6th, 16th and 17th Battalions, and a RAAF P3 Orion.
