More than 70 Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers have spent the past few weeks exercising the full spectrum of their trade in the United States during RIMPAC 2018.

Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD), HMAS Adelaide has achieved another significant milestone on Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2018 (RIMPAC 18) by embarking thirteen US Marine Corps Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAV).

With final preparations being conducted before sailing for the sea phase, aboard HMAS Success there was meeting of minds when Navy’s senior leadership team for RIMPAC 18 met with Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Jonathan Mead.

2nd Battalion (Amphibious), Royal Australian Regiment (2 RAR) soldiers have embarked HMAS Adelaide as part of the largest multinational force the ship has welcomed on board since her commissioning in 2015.
