Moran Division will be written into the history books on 28 November 2013 when the final class of Moran recruits graduate from the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School at HMAS Cerberus.

Family members of Leading Seaman Ronald ‘Buck’ Taylor attended a Naming Ceremony to commemorate the renaming of the building that will be home to many future Recruits commencing their careers as Taylor Division sailors.

Family members of Noel Shipp, the namesake of the newest Division at Recruit School in HMAS Cerberus, were guests of honour at the first graduation on 30 August 2013.

Today, for the first time in history, the Royal Australian Navy’s Recruit School graduated a recruit division which was named after a sailor.

Graduates of General Entry 313, Getting Division throw their hats in the air as a time honoured tradition as they are dismissed for the final time on completion of their graduation ceremony held at HMAS Cerberus, Victoria.

Hundreds of family and friends gathered to watch as 63 of Navy’s newest sailors graduated from the RAN Recruit School, closing the chapter on the first stage of their training and advancing toward their careers within Navy.

Able Seaman Boatswains Mate Chanaya Resek-Takai is currently serving in the Anzac class frigate HMAS Stuart.

Despite the surprise of a cold Melbourne day on her first day as a new recruit, Chanaya Resek-Takai of Prince of Wales Island in the Torres Strait, has never regretted her decision to join the Royal Australian Navy.

Graduating recruits of General Entry 312 Rankin Division celebrate passing out of Recruit School by throwing their caps in the air.

Seventy seven recruits from Rankin Division, General Entry intake 312 (GE 312), made Australian Naval history on 28 June 2013, when they marched onto the RAN Recruit School Parade Ground. Their Graduation Parade will be remembered as the last Rankin Division to graduate from the RAN Recruit School at HMAS Cerberus.
