HMAS Harman held a small but important NAIDOC Week ceremony yesterday to unveil an ‘Acknowledgement of Country’ plaque, recognising the Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander service men and women who have contributed to the defence of Australia.

Past and present members of the Australian Defence Force came together at the Australian War Memorial on 9 July to honour Indigenous personnel who have served and fought in 'Defence of Country' - the theme for this year’s NAIDOC celebrations.

Children from Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community, Jervis Bay, had a surprise from aloft this week when a Squirrel helicopter from 723 Squadron (HMAS Albatross) and personnel from HMAS Creswell dropped in for a visit.
