Despite not coming away with the honours, HMAS Anzac embraced the motto 'United We Stand', with arguably the loudest and proudest supporters at the 2017 Rugby Union Inter Unit Annual Competition at TG Milner Rugby Field in Sydney on 31 March.

HMA Ships Arunta and Stuart recently participated in a Rugby Union tournament in the port of Busan, the Republic of South Korea, against a local ex-pats team, the Busan Bandits. The port visit was part of Stuart's and Arunta's North East Asia Deployment 2015.

The Australian Services Rugby Union men's team battle the British Army team in their first pool match held at Aldershot on 8th October 2015.

The first round pool match of the 2015 International Defence Rugby Competition between Australian Services Rugby Union and the British Army was an eagerly anticipated replay of the 2011 final. The match was played at the home of British Army Rugby Union, at the Aldershot Garrison, under fine conditions and on a lush green pitch, in front of vocal home crowd.
