It’s not every day that ship’s company gets to abseil down the side of one of the largest vessels ever operated by the Royal Australian Navy, but volunteers from HMAS Canberra and HMAS Kuttabul did just that in the name of charity.

The Royal Australian Navy is now one of the world’s premier amphibious forces with both of the Fleet’s Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Docks and Landing Craft, acquired under Joint Project 2048, successfully achieving Final Operational Capability in November.
