Last Friday HMAS Stuart hosted the Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Griggs AO CSC RAN and presented him with a donation for the Navy’s charity, Keeping Watch.

Keeping Watch was launched late last year and exists to care for and support Navy's members, and their families, during times of financial need.

“You never know when you’ll find yourself in a tough situation and it’s good to know this is available,” said Leading Seaman Medic Jasmin Fisher.

During Stuart’s recent deployment on Operation RESOLUTE, the ship’s company managed to find time for some fund-raising events in support of Keeping Watch.

“Looking after each other is a big part of our culture in Navy. We can all play a part and a little bit can go a long way when you are faced with an unexpected hardship,” said Lieutenant Emma Hoolihan RAN, the HMAS Stuart Deputy Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer.

The crew raised a total of $500 for Keeping Watch. If you would like to make a donation to Keeping Watch visit https://www.keepingwatch.org.au/donate2.html.
