The Royal Australian Navy’s Rear Admiral Trevor Jones handed over command of Joint Task Force 633 in the Middle East to Air Vice Marshal Tim Innes last week.

Navy's home to the MRH-90 helicopter, 808 Squadron, assembled for the traditional rowing ashore of the outgoing Commanding Officer as Commander Adrian Capner handed over the “trident of power” to Commander Michael Waddell recently.

There was no need of car or driver to transport Commodore Vince Di Pietro to his recent change of command ceremony at the home of Navy's Fleet Air Arm in Nowra.

Australia has assumed command of Combined Task Force 150 (CTF 150) as part of Operation MANITOU in the Middle East Region after a Transition of Authority from the Pakistan Navy.

Commander Ashley Papp hands over the weight of HMAS Choules to Commander Chris Aulmann in Brisbane, Queensland.

On 15 November, a bright sunny day in Brisbane, Commander Ashley Papp relinquished command of HMAS Choules, handing the weight to Commander Chris Aulmann. The handover of the ‘weight’’ symbolises the transfer of the responsibility of command.

Friday 11 July saw Commander Simon Cannell hand over command of the Anzac Class Frigate HMAS Parramatta to Commander Andrew Willis amongst a South Pacific setting.
