Royal Australian Navy pilot Lieutenant Commander Tony Reyne, 65, sits in the pilot seat of an AS-350B Squirrel helicopter on the day of his last flight after 47 years’ service at HMAS Albatross, NSW.

After nearly 48 years flying Royal Australian Navy helicopters, Pilot Lieutenant Commander Tony Reyne has safely completed his final flight.

The Guard during Ceremonial Divisions held at HMAS Albatross give a 'General Salute' to mark the withdrawal from Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Service of the S-70B-2 Seahawk (Bravo) and the AS350BA Squirrel helicopters.

The S-70B-2 Bravo Seahawk and AS350BA Squirrel helicopters were formally retired from active service in the Royal Australian Navy at a ceremony today at HMAS Albatross.

Navy has continued to honour its heritage and the contribution of serving members, with a memorial dinner to mark the 25th anniversary of the start of the first Gulf War.
