During the major Japan-US Exercise ANNUALEX, the crew of HMAS Hobart spared a minute to reflect on those that sacrificed their lives in the very waters they sailed.

A group of 50 officers and sailors from HMAS Hobart recently participated in a ceremony to mark the 74th United Nations Day at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery, in Busan, Republic of Korea, during the ship’s current East Asia Deployment.

HMAS Penguin has continued its annual tradition of inviting the people of Mosman and the Northern Beaches to a reception to thank the community for their ongoing support, and an opportunity for locals to learn more about Penguin’s mission and get a taste of Navy culture with a Beat to Quarters and Ceremonial Sunset.

During HMAS Leeuwin’s third South East Asian deployment this year, a port visit to Dili provided an opportunity for six members of ship's company to visit the village of Soibada, located in the mountainous central region of the island nation, to experience the culture of rural Timor-Leste and lend a helping hand.

The deck crew on HMAS Diamantina recover the starboard MDV following mine hunting operations.

Following a passage of more than 5600 nautical miles from their homeport in Sydney, a Royal Australian Navy Task Group consisting of minehunters, HMA Ships Diamantina and Gascoyne are taking part in the Multinational Mine Warfare Exercise (MIWEX 19) off the coast of the Republic of Korea.
