A ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII will be held at the Australian War Memorial on 15 August, with members of Australia’s Federation Guard rehearsing their drill for the past two weeks for their role in the catafalque party.

A member of the Royal Australian Navy has actively participated in the Eternal Flame ceremony beneath the Arc de Triomphe in Paris for the first time in history, as part of the commemoration activities marking the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
