Growing up in Cairns, Able Seaman Boatswains Mate Lawrence Sabadi’s decision to join the Royal Australian Navy was heavily influenced by family members already serving with the Australian Defence Force.

In April, a group of 23 Indigenous recruits from some of the most remote northern parts of Australia visited HMAS Watson as a part of the Defence Indigenous Development Program (DIDP).
