When Maritime Warfare Officer Lieutenant Inger Ellingsen was growing up in Norway, she had no inkling that her future career would be on the other side of the globe as part of the team driving the Royal Australian Navy’s newest warship.
Students from Redlynch State College in Cairns brought a tear to the eyes of veterans and serving members alike with their handwritten Anzac letters of thanks, part of a campaign to connect with veterans and serving ADF members who may have felt isolated on Anzac Day 2020.

Growing up in Bunbury, WA, Able Seaman Maritime Personnel Operator Stephanie Hart spent her youth commemorating Anzac Day at a local Dawn Service. For Anzac Day 2020 she was on the opposite side of the country – off the coast of Queensland on board HMAS Adelaide.
