At dawn, on this day 99 years ago, more than 30,000 Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) personnel landed on the Gallipoli peninsula.

The ship’s company of NUSHIP Canberra reached a significant milestone last week, as they marched together for the first time as a unit in the Sydney City Anzac Day Parade.

HMAS Stirling Gunnery Department personnel assist the City of Perth Anzac Day Parade Colour Party during their last drill practice at HMAS Stirling.

HMAS Stirling is preparing for the biggest Anzac Day yet in the 99th year since the Gallipoli campaign. Personnel from HMAS Stirling, Fleet Base West units and lodger units will be honouring the special day in locations across Western Australia.

HMAS Albatross has extensive Anzac Day commitments throughout the Shoalhaven every year and in 2013, the base provided 25 catafalque parties and 250 personnel for services stretching from the coastal towns of Kiama to Ulladulla, and as far west as Holbrook.
