Albatross gives Men’s Shed a flying start to 2014

HMAS Albatross Commanding Officer, Captain Gordon Andrew presented representatives of the Nowra Veterans and Community Men’s Shed with a cheque for $600, which will assist the Nowra Men’s Shed in their aim to improve men’s health and well-being by creating opportunities for social interaction among men and raising awareness of men’s health issues.

HMAS Albatross personnel took advantage of the rare opportunity to tread the tarmac when the T-shaped airfield runway was closed for the 4th annual ‘Tour the T’ charity fun run.

After the loss of a very close friend and work colleague, LCDR Kelly Haywood took time reflect on how deeply affected she and many others had been by depression and suicide.
