Despite not coming away with the honours, HMAS Anzac embraced the motto 'United We Stand', with arguably the loudest and proudest supporters at the 2017 Rugby Union Inter Unit Annual Competition at TG Milner Rugby Field in Sydney on 31 March.

‘Ready to go’ Navy Cadets give the thumbs up as they depart HMAS Leeuwin.

Early in January HMAS Leeuwin set sail from Cairns to begin a transit to conduct military data gathering operations in the Bass Strait. A number of Australian Navy Cadets and family members for ship's company joined the ship for the first day of the deployment.

Navy members from around the country have been working hard for the last three months saving more than 3,200 lives during the Defence Blood Challenge. Teams from HMA Ships Cairns, Waterhen and Penguin and the Australian Defence Force Academy recently rolled up their sleeves to help protect Australia’s blood supply.
