Seaman* Electronic Technician Bradley Stevens coming over the line fist in the Open Male division of the Cross County run held at HMAS Cerberus, Victoria.

The 2015 HMAS Cerberus Cross Country Championships were held on 18 March involving more than 650 Defence members. Cerberus is Navy’s largest tri-service training establishment, and the annual event lets Defence members from all three services and specialisations pit their fitness against their colleagues in fun way while keeping up the long held tradition of competing for the Grey Smith Cup.

HMAS Bathurst represented the Royal Australian Navy along with 36 warships from over 16 nations in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aeronautical Exhibition (LIMA) at Langkawi Island, Malaysia between 16-19 March.

A week after sailing from their homeport of Sydney, the crew of HMAS Anzac sailed from Fleet Base West this week on the next leg of their deployment on NORTHERN TRIDENT 2015.

HMAS Canberra's Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Landing Craft operating in the Well Dock during the ship's first docking down in open ocean.

Since commissioning in November last year, Canberra has conducted many landing craft dockings although until now, all have been achieved alongside, within a harbour or a bay.

HMAS Melbourne's Able Seaman Anthony Worso holds the ships Ceremonial Life Ring prior to marching in the OP SLIPPER Commemoration Parade, Adelaide City.

Operation SLIPPER veterans from the ship's company of HMAS Melbourne, along with nearly 2,000 South Australia-based Defence personnel paraded through Adelaide City on 21 March to the cheers of a large crowd of family and supporters.

A sailor, who left the permanent Navy on 5 January this year, spent his first day working as a reservist accepting a Work, Health and Safety award from the Vice Chief of the Defence Force, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs.

March has been a busy month for Jervis Bay and surrounding waters with the bay dotted with frigates HMA Ships Newcastle and Anzac, Mine Hunter HMAS Gascoyne, helicopters and the Navy’s newest ship, Landing Helicopter Dock HMAS Canberra.
