HMAS Sydney’s junior officers were put through their paces under the watchful eye of the Ship’s Commanding Officer, CMDR Karl Brinckmann, in rainy weather off Japan when the ship joined up at sea with the United States Navy’s Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer USS Momsen.

The funeral service for RADM Holthouse will take place at 11am Friday 7 June 2013 at St Andrew's Anglican Church, Elrington Street, Braidwood.

Defence kicked off National Reconciliation Week (NRW) celebrations in Canberra with an inaugural Keynote Address, delivered this year by Army Australian Defence Force Academy Officer Cadet Thomas Boase, himself a member of the Wakka Wakka people from Brisbane. The title of the address was 'Let's Talk Recognition.'
It was an exciting day for the Royal Australian Navy’s latest Aircrewman graduates, Richard Clark and Damien Wallace, when they were both presented with their Aircrewman wings and promoted to the rank of Leading Seaman in a ceremony at Nowra’s Fleet Air Arm Museum.
