CO NHQ-SA, CMDR Andrew Burnett attended Rose Court Residential Aged Care Home in Adelaide recently to present the Unit Citation for Gallantry (UCG) to Jeffrey McIntyre, a former member of the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam (RANHFV).

Receiving the highly coveted Federation Star is a milestone in anyone’s career, and on Friday 29 July, Lieutenant Commander Guy Burton, RAN was presented with his Federation Star by Chief of Navy Vice Admiral Michael Noonan, AO, RAN at HMAS Stirling, the home of the Submarine Force in Rockingham, Western Australia.

Distance is no barrier to a good deed for Sydney’s homeless. Halfway across the Pacific, the crew of HMAS Adelaide did good for the Sydney based Matthew Talbot Hostel, the ship’s charity of choice.

Navy members based at HMAS Coonawarra in Darwin travelled to Alice Springs to show their respects at the Vietnam Veterans Day memorial service last Saturday. They were joined by members from the RAN Band Sydney and Navy Headquarters South Australia as part of Navy’s Community Engagement Program.
