Seeking chaplaincy support, counsel and assessment is much more common than you might think. Navy chaplains have, for the first time, started recording the numbers of people seeking advice and counsel – and from those records, it’s clear the issues that concern serving personnel are common.

The 2017 Defence Blood Challenge is now underway, with a three-month competition pitting the Army, Navy, Air Force and Defence Public Servants against each other in an effort to strengthen Australia’s blood supplies and support the Australian community.

The 'FLAIM Trainer' is a multi-component system, that will bring more realism to damage control exercises and allows Navy to conduct training in scenarios that would have been impossible in the past.

Navy is working with a team of engineers led by a fire fighting expert at Deakin University to provide next generation simulation tools to train officers and sailors.
