At the break of dawn, Indian and Australian naval personnel ‘bent over backwards’ strengthening minds, bodies and relationships during a unique yoga session on a Fremantle wharf.

The inaugural maritime exercise between Australia and India, AUSINDEX15, recently held off India, provided an exciting opportunity for a select few to sample life in the others' Navy.

Leading Seaman Aircrewman Rhys David Williams says he loves working on operations and being part of a Seahawk crew. He is currently embarked on HMAS Arunta, which is undertaking a North East Asian deployment.

Able Seaman Electronics Technician Aaron Scott as he takes time away from his primary role of HMAS Arunta’s Underwater Sensors and Navigational Aids technician to coxswain one of the ship's Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats.

Able Seaman Electronic Technician Aaron Scott is currently serving in his third ship in his five years with the Royal Australian Navy, and as part of HMAS Arunta’s ship's company, he is preparing to arrive in Subic Bay, in the Philippines.

The crew of HMAS Sirius took some time out of the recent AUSINDEX maritime activity in India, to celebrate the ship's ninth 'birthday' since commissioning on 16 September 2006.

Twenty-seven year old Queenslander, Able Seaman Boatswains Mate Michael Douglas, has a variety of roles and responsibilities when at sea onboard, HMAS Arunta.
