Tens of thousands of people wearing poppies and warm smiles cheered as Defence personnel from Australia, New Zealand, Japan and France participated in the troop march during the Albany Convoy Commemorative Event in Albany, Western Australia today.

Commanding Officer HMAS Arunta, Commander Dave Teitzel, CSM, RAN, attends the Ceremonial Sunset held at Anzac Peace Park as part of the Albany Convoy Commemorative Event.

HMAS Cerberus has hosted young players, coaching and support staff from the AFL Flying Boomerangs squad as part of a personal development and leadership program for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders between 14-15 years old. The players were introduced to training, Navy style, through program designed to test and strengthen their resilience.

The Navy Men’s cricket team has retained the Lindsay Hassett trophy after defeating Army in a nail biting finish at Chisholm Oval in Canberra.

On 31 October HMAS Harman hosted the 49th Annual Bonshaw Cup, a 6km fun run/walk within the Canberra base perimeter.
