The final chapter in a naval tradition was closed with a low key yet dignified ceremony at the Royal Australian Navy Heritage Centre, Garden Island with the decommissioning of the legendary Esther Williams trophy.

Professionalism, excellence and long term commitment were recognised at an award ceremony in Jacksonville, Florida for a number of RAN members within New Squadron 725 (NUSQN 725).

2012 Queen's Gold Medal Winner Lieutenant Michelle Rayner, QM, RAN on the grounds of HMAS Creswell.

Winners of the Queen’s Gold Medal and Chief of Navy’s Sword for 2012 were announced on 24 June as Lieutenant Michelle Rayner and Sub Lieutenant Brody Marris, respectively.

CPO Damian Pawlenko was awarded with a Humanitarian Medal during the Commanding Officer’s Monthly Morning Tea at HMAS Kuttabul last week for recognition of his efforts during Operation PAKISTAN ASSIST II.
