A 40 year career is impressive by any standard but very few have a CV that reads like that of Captain Jim Hutton, OBE, who has just returned from leading one of Australia’s biggest defence activities, Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2018 (IPE18).

Volunteers from HMAS Adelaide and HMAS Toowoomba assist Royal Solomon Islands Police Force personnel with the maintenance of the Seif Ples shelter for abused families during the port visit to Honiara in the Solomon Islands as a part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2018.

The Australian Defence Force has completed its final two port visits as part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2018, marking the conclusion of a three month journey across the Pacific, working with Pacific Island partners in support of regional prosperity and security.

The Australian Defence Force’s Indo-Pacific Endeavour Task Group has assisted the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force in rescuing four seriously injured people after a violent incident occurred in an outlying part of the country.
