US Navy Chaplain, Commander Daniel Mode of Task Force Seven Zero dons protective and life saving equipment prior to a helicopter transfer off HMAS Sydney.

A United States Navy chaplain assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington visited the Royal Australian Navy’s guided missile frigate HMAS Sydney (IV) via helicopter on 4th July, 2013.

2012 Queen's Gold Medal Winner Lieutenant Michelle Rayner, QM, RAN on the grounds of HMAS Creswell.

Winners of the Queen’s Gold Medal and Chief of Navy’s Sword for 2012 were announced on 24 June as Lieutenant Michelle Rayner and Sub Lieutenant Brody Marris, respectively.

Despite the surprise of a cold Melbourne day on her first day as a new recruit, Chanaya Resek-Takai of Prince of Wales Island in the Torres Strait, has never regretted her decision to join the Royal Australian Navy.

CPO Damian Pawlenko was awarded with a Humanitarian Medal during the Commanding Officer’s Monthly Morning Tea at HMAS Kuttabul last week for recognition of his efforts during Operation PAKISTAN ASSIST II.
