Commanding Officer Navy HQ Tasmania, CMDR Stacey Porter, officially opens the Tall Ships Hobart 2013 Photographic Exhibition in Hobart’s Salamanca Arts Centre.

An exhibition of photographs taken by a team of over 30 enthusiastic volunteers at the recent International Tall Ships Hobart 2013 festival was officially opened last night by Commanding Officer Navy Headquarters Tasmania, Commander Stacey Porter.

ABMT Justin Wilkinson (front left), ABET Dan Dixon (front right), POMT Kyle Brook (rear left) and ABMT Armen Woskanian from Fleet Support Unit Sydney, shaved extra close this morning to ensure a clean start for their fundraising and beard growing efforts.

Personnel from Fleet Support Unit - Sydney are volunteering their faces and growing beards to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and mental health.

Fifty-four members of 808 Squadron exercised their right to freedom of entry to Goolwa, South Australia over the weekend, carrying on a 26 year association of the Fleet Air Arm with the town.

Representing the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Commander, Captain Guy Holthouse RAN, lays a wreath to commemorate the loss of HMAS Sydney (II), during a ceremony held at Martin Place, Sydney.

A memorial and wreath laying service was held by the HMAS Sydney Association at the Cenotaph at Martin Place on 19 November 2013 to mark the 72nd anniversary of the sinking of HMAS Sydney (II).

The Navy Cricket Team got off to a winning start against the Army Cricket Team in Canberra on Sunday morning, making a good start to the National Services T20 Championships having already won the National 50-Over Carnival last week.

The winning Royal Australian Navy Cricket team.

The Royal Australian Navy Cricket Team won its first inter-services 50-over tournament in six years when it won the Australian National Services Cricket Championships in Canberra on Friday, taking the Lindsay Hassett Trophy from the Army.
