The forecastle party on HMAS Huon prepare to depart HMAS Waterhen for a three month Operation Resolute rotation.

HMAS Huon departed HMAS Waterhen in Sydney recently to head north on a three-month deployment in support of border protection duties as part of Operation RESOLUTE. Family and friends gathered on the wharf and waved good-bye to see her off.

A year of hard work paid off for the crew of HMAS Arunta recently when they were awarded the Otranto Shield for the highest standards of gunnery and the Action Information Organisation Shield award for the highest standard of tactical information dissemination throughout the fleet in 2014.

Royal Australian Navy ships have begun arriving in Darwin for Exercise Talisman Sabre 2015. Anzac class frigate, HMAS Perth, is among several vessels taking part in the exercise, which is occurring in the Top End for the first time.
