It was a case of ‘having their cake and eating it’ for the ship’s company of HMAS Choules today as they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the ship’s launch in the United Kingdom on 18th July 2003, the date she was first sent down the slip way.

On the 27th June, Commander Matthew Shand enjoyed his final flight in a Squirrel helicopter as Commanding Officer of 723 Squadron as part of a stylish but slightly soggy send off.

HMAS Warramunga sailed from her home port Fleet Base West on 21 May 13 for her final deployment prior to entering the year-long Anti Ship Missile Defence (ASMD) upgrade in November this year.

Collins Class Submarine, HMAS Waller berths alongside Garden Island for a port visit in Sydney.

HMAS Waller made a short visit to Garden Island, Sydney recently. Prior to the short layover at Fleet Base East (FBE), the crew honed their skills and re-established their onboard routines as they transited and patrolled the Southern Oceans of Australia.
