Around 30 members of the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet Review Sydney 2013 (IFR) project team, led by Captain Nick Bramwell, Director IFR, attended the IFR Table Top Risk Exercise on 15 July hosted by the NSW Government Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Royal Australian Navy has tested its new Three Pound Saluting Gun Battery at the Garden Island Naval Base, in readiness for October’s International Fleet Review, which commemorates the arrival of Navy’s first fleet in Sydney Harbour in 1913.

The annual ADF Nordic Skiing and Biathlon championships at Mt Hotham may be called Exercise COOLSHOT, but ‘hotshots’ may be a better name to describe the combined efforts of the Navy team in 2013.

A recent port visit to Sydney by the United States Navy ship USS Bonhomme Richard provided a perfect opportunity for the Royal Australian Navy's rugby players to showcase their experienced and developing players against an enthusiastic US outfit.

The Navy Women's Netball Team is making its final preparations to contest the Combined Services Netball Championships next week, in the hope of taking home the spoils for the second year in a row.
