Watson’s Executive Officer, Commander Matthew Shand presented a cheque for $2725.00 which will be used in the treatment of sick children in the hospital’s cardiac ward.

With their motto we find, we fix - HMAS Watson certainly did that when the ship's company rallied to raise funds through raffles and collection tins to support the Sydney Children's Hospital.

While December marked the start of summer, rain and 12 degrees greeted families and friends of General Entry 348, Taylor Division on their graduation from the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School on 8 December.

Able Seaman Communication and Information Systems Jasmine Smale folds the Australian White Ensign on the flight deck of HMAS Parramatta during a ceremonial sunset to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the sinking of HMAS Parramatta II at Fleet Base East, Sydney.

A service was held in Parramatta on 27 November to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the loss of the Grimsby-class sloop HMAS Parramatta II.
