Commodore Vince Di Pietro was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours for his exceptional service as Commander of the Fleet Air Arm (2013 – 2016) and as Australia’s Naval Attaché to the United States (2007 – 2010).
