With an easterly sea breeze and revving engines combined, naval marine technicians and civilian motor enthusiasts alike could not be kept away from HMAS Stirling as they hosted  its first 'Show and Shine' motorcycle show.

Commanding Officer HMAS Perth, Captain Ivan Ingham, AM, RAN, and members of HMAS Perth's ships company met with The Right Honourable, The Lord Mayor of Perth, Lisa Scaffidi, MP, to exchange gifts at her offices in the City of Perth, Western Australia.

HMAS Perth will take pieces of its namesake city across the world when the frigate deploys later this year after an exchange of gifts with City of Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi.

April Fools’ Day is often one of the most light-hearted days of the year. With a long tradition of pranksters competing for the ultimate hoax one might wonder who would seriously consider choosing the day as a ‘birthday’, but at HMAS Cerberus in Victoria, it’s a day to be celebrated as the day Navy’s largest training establishment was commissioned in 1921.
