The Royal Australian Navy welcomed a new ship into the fleet today, with the commissioning of the guided missile destroyer, HMAS Brisbane (III).

The Department of Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group accepted delivery of the second Hobart Class destroyer NUSHIP Brisbane at an official ceremony in Adelaide on Friday.

NUSHIP Brisbane has recently completed her Category 5 (CAT 5) Sea Trials off the coast of Adelaide. During CAT 5 Sea Trials, the functional performance of the Mission System as a whole is verified.

The NUSHIP Brisbane Winning Team for EAA European Handball 2018.

Esprit de corps and teamwork were common themes during the annual European Handball Championship held at the Fleet Base East Gym recently. Teams from across the Sydney region played it out for the Eastern Australia Area (EAA) European Handball Champion for 2018.

The second Hobart class destroyer marked a major milestone in its construction when she was officially named Brisbane and launched in Adelaide on 15 December.
